Cell culture refers to a method of simulating the internal environment (sterile, suitable temperature, pH and certain nutritional conditions, etc.) in vitro to make it survive, grow, reproduce and maintain its main structure and function. Through cell culture, a large number of cells can be obtained, and it can also be used to study cell signal transduction, cell anabolism, cell growth and proliferation, etc.
Cell culture is divided into three categories: animal cell culture, plant cell culture, and microbial cell culture. Among them, animal cell culture is the more difficult one, and its culture process requires three special conditions. The first condition is serum, which is a natural nutrient solution for in vitro culture of animal cells. The second prerequisite is a support. Most cell cultures need to grow adherently, especially for animal cells, which need to be used as a certain support for growth. The third prerequisite is gas exchange. First of all, it is necessary to ensure the different adjustment of carbon dioxide and oxygen, and to continuously maintain the gas required for animal cell culture.

Plant cell culture is relatively simple. When cultivating plant cells, first consider light. The time and temperature of light required for different plant cell cultures are also different. The second condition is the need for plant hormones. Plant cells need plant hormones to regulate during the process of growth and division, so that normal and healthy plant cells can be cultivated.
The microbial cell culture method is relatively simple. You only need to place the cells in a sterile environment and require the cells to grow normally, and then you can add some nutrients to the cells in an appropriate amount. For the nutritional requirements of some special microorganisms, additional additions can be made on the basis of these natural media.
