Medicinal caps are an important part of plastic bottles and play a vital role in protecting the safety of medicines. In our common lids, it mainly plays three roles:
Sealing: Sealing is the basic function of medicinal bottle caps. The standard size and bottle mouth interference fit to achieve the purpose of blocking the intrusion of external gases or impurities, and prevent the drug from being polluted by the external environment.
Moisture-proof: This function is mainly reflected in the packaging of solid medicines such as tablets and capsules. These medicines contain starch, adhesives and other ingredients, which are prone to deliquescence and adhesion after being exposed to moisture, so packaging with moisture-proof performance is required. Some packaging cleverly uses the space at the top of the medicinal bottle cap, and combines the desiccant with the cap to make a moisture-proof cap to maintain the stability of the internal environment of the pharmaceutical packaging.
Child-proof opening: This is also a popular type of lid in recent years. It adopts the design of double-layer structure inside and outside, and must be opened by pressing down and rotating at the same time. Such a cover can effectively prevent children from opening the package at will and accidentally ingesting the medicine.
The above is the introduction of three common functions of medicinal bottle caps. Among them, sealing is the basic function, moisture-proof is mainly used for solid drugs, and the child-proof opening function is suitable for both liquid drugs and solid drugs. These two functions can be independent, or they can appear at the same time, combining the functions of both.
