Syrup drugs refer to oral concentrated sucrose aqueous solutions containing drugs, medicinal material extracts or aromatic substances. According to the different ingredients and uses, the drugs can be divided into simple syrups, medicinal syrups and aromatic syrups. Sucrose and aromatics can mask the bitter, salty and other bad smells of medicines and improve their taste, especially among children.

Oral liquid bottles include two types: large-capacity packaging and single-dose packaging. Syrup drugs generally contain no less than 45% sucrose and are more suitable for children's tastes. In order to facilitate children to take the drugs, most of these drugs are packaged in single-dose packaging. forms, such as cough syrup. In addition, this kind of medicine is generally easy to deteriorate and decompose under the influence of light, so the color of the bottle will be a brown bottle with better light shielding to ensure the stability of the medicine during the validity period.

Syrup drugs need to be stored in a cool, dry, and dark environment. Syrup should not be stored for too long after the oral liquid bottle is opened. If it is no longer to be taken within a short period of time, it can be placed in a refrigerator at 4°C to 15°C. Before taking it again, you should carefully observe whether the solution is still clear. If there are a large number of bubbles, floc suspension, sediment or discoloration or crystallization, it indicates that the syrup has gone rancid and cannot be taken again.
