1. Holding pressure and time

As the holding time increases, the weight of the bottle cap gradually increases, resulting in an increase in volume. Similarly, as the holding pressure increases, the weight of the raw material increases in the same period of time, and the weight of the bottle cap increases, which will lead to an increase in volume (increase in size).

2. Cooling time

Regardless of visual analysis or experimental data, as the cooling time of the medicine bottle cap in the mold increases, the temperature of the bottle cap will obviously show a linear decrease. This phenomenon also exists when the lid is cooled after demoulding, but it will take longer to reduce the same temperature. That is to say, within the same period of time, the cooling effect in the mold is far better than the cooling after demoulding.

The cooling rate (°C/min) will affect the density of the cap. As the cooling rate increases, the density of the bottle cap gradually decreases.

That is, as the cooling time increases, the grammage remains unchanged and the density decreases, the volume becomes larger (the size becomes larger).

3. Raw material temperature

As the temperature of the raw material increases, if the cooling time remains unchanged, the temperature of the resulting bottle cap will be higher. After natural cooling after demoulding, the volume will become smaller (the size will become smaller) due to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction. The injection molding equipment parameters corresponding to the raw material temperature include screw temperature and mold temperature.
