How to detect whether ethylene oxide residue meets the standard requirements?
Plastic dosing syringe sample preparation: Take this product to remove the packaging, suck in distilled water with the indicated volume (V), and equilibrate for 1 hour at 37 ° C ± 1 ° C.
Control stock solution preparation: Take an externally dried 50ml volumetric flask, add 30ml water, add a stopper, and weigh to the nearest 0.1mg. Inject 0.6ml ethylene oxide reference substance (purity greater than 99.7%) with a syringe, gently shake it, then cover the stopper and weigh. The difference between the two weighings is the weight of ethylene oxide. Add water to the mark and dilute this solution to 1 g / L as a control stock solution. As a control solution, dilute it to a solution with an ethylene oxide content of 1 µg / ml.
Take 5ml each of the control solution and sample into the headspace bottle, and place them at 60 ℃ ± 1 ℃ for 20 minutes. Take 1ml of gas above the liquid and inject it into the meteorological chromatograph, record the chromatogram, and measure the peak area of the reference substance and the sample. The peak area of the control solution should be larger than the peak area of the sample.
Residual ethylene oxide in prefilled syringes should be ≤1µg / ml.
