There are many types of medicines. Among them, tablets are the most common type, divided into ordinary tablets, dispersible tablets, sustained-release tablets, etc. These drugs are stored in special tablet bottles. The quality of the pharmaceutical packaging is related to the stability of the medicine. The tablet bottle will also encounter some quality problems during the blow molding process. The following are the common ones:
1. Part of the tablet bottle is excessively stretched. This is due to the central temperature attitude or pre-blowing formed too early, and it hits the stretch rod.
2. There are wrinkles in the bottom of the bottle. The temperature at the bottom is too high, the pre-blowing is too late and the pre-blowing pressure is too low, it may appear this kind of situation, and the flow is too small.
3. The overall thickness of the plastic bottle is thinner. This phenomenon speeds up the pre-blowing time, improves the pre-blowing pressure, and increases the air flow of the plastic bottle.
4. The bottom of the plastic bottle is whitish. The preform of the plastic bottle is too cold, stops stretching if it is too hot, pre-blowing is too early or the pre-blowing pressure is too high.
5. There is a magnifying glass at the bottom of the bottle, and there is too much material at the bottom of the bottle. The pre-blowing is too late, the pre-blowing pressure is too low, etc.
6. The entire plastic bottle does not look so transparent, but rather turbid. This is due to the insufficient cooling time of the tablet bottle.
7. The eccentricity of the bottom of the bottle is related to the temperature of the plastic preform, stretching, pre-blowing, and high-pressure blowing. Reduce the temperature of the plastic preform, accelerate the stretching speed of the plastic bottle, check the gap between the tie rod head and the bottom mold, extend the pre-blowing time, and reduce the pre-blowing pressure. Or postpone high-pressure blowing to check whether the preform is eccentric.
8. The tablet bottle is also particularly prone to deformation. This is because the wall thickness difference between the longitudinal wall thickness position and the radial wall thickness position is too large. The shrinkage formed by the position of the parting line of blow-molded container products is more serious than that of the adjacent position, which is that the cooling rate of the thicker area is much slower than that of the surrounding area. Different cooling speeds result in different shrinkage and deformation. This kind of defect is best dealt with by controlling the longitudinal wall thickness and the radial wall thickness at the same time.
There are many problems in the blow molding of tablet bottles, and some defects are minimal, but even small errors can cause quality problems in the finished bottle. Only by controlling these details can high-quality bottles be produced.
